Ukee 7.22.13 Monday

7.22.13 11:00 pm

Today was a long cleaning and travel day for us. We started out the day with deep cleaning the church and the UAC Hall. We mopped, swept, picked up all our belongings, and finished some touch ups on the painting of the fence. Before we headed, out we prayed with Pastor Miles. Praise the Lord we made it through customs with no problems. We made it safe to Bellingham, Washington and are now off to a night of sleep before we head to Seattle tomorrow.

The travel was good all throughout the day. We are looking forward to another day of travel tomorrow as we fly from Seattle to Burbank. We are tired and sad to have left Ucluelet, but we are excited about being home and seeing our family. We have learned a lot this week while being challenged along the way. We will be seeing our world from a different perspective as we continue to grow into the disciples God has called us to be.

Tomorrow we will be traveling out of Bellingham and into Seattle where we fly to Burbank. When we land in Burbank, we will be met by some of our team member’s parents to drive us back to the church. We are scheduled to arrive back at the church at around midnight where we will be met by a group of some of the high school students that are there to welcome us home. Please be praying that our last day of travel will go smoothly and we will arrive home safely.

P.S. Join us for our Ucluelet Sharing Time on Sunday, July 28 from 1:00-2:30 pm at Trinity Church in Room M105 to hear more about how God worked on this trip and to see more pictures!

So happy to hear that your travels went smoothly back to the US. Will pray that the last of your travels are safe and can’t wait for you to get home and hear all about your experience in Ucluelet :)

    Dear Trinity Church Family:

Words cannot express fully how blessed we were as a church family to have had the privilege of having your sons and daughters with us for a week. To reconnect with previous students and meet new students who were stepping out of their norm and to come to our community to show and share the love of Christ.

They worked so hard and enthusiastically–it was inspirational to watch them as they joyfully shared, loved and served throughout our whole community from the landscaping the community centre to clearing thorny bushes and thick over growth in Hitacu. In fact, you could say that they were really knocking down and pulling out obstacles that cannot be touched by human hands but by the love of God and work of the Holy Spirit. Yes…they even encountered opposition, but they responded with grace and were wonderful ambassadors for Christ.

You can truly be proud of them and of the whole leadership team! We truly are so encouraged as a church family here and their presence made such a difference as they were out in the community. People noticed and talked and we look forward to seeing the fruit fully formed from their work among us. We will keep you all posted!

Thank you so much for your love and work! It has been such a blessing!!

    With much love,
