Greetings from Willingen, Germany!
It’s Wednesday, and we’re half way through GEM’s Annual Meeting. What blessed times. How to explain? The music has been heavenly. Everyone has given their very best, which showed. Great songs were selected before we left the U.S., which ministered beautifully. Again, the tech team outdid themselves and made us proud!
The service team helped to put on a ladies luncheon to honor those who have been in GEM ministry for multiple years (the hotel fixed the food, of course!). We worked in Office One doing admin duties, positioning cookies on trays for post-plenary night sessions. These cookies were brought by the 27 missionaries and are packaged cookies from their respective country. It was fun to try and read the various international packages… and the ones we sampled were mighty yummy!
Right now, we’re in the plenary evening session and I’m writing this as the longevity plaques were handed out to long-term missionaries. It is wonderful to see the dedication of GEM missionaries, but found myself dozing off and caught my phone as it started to slip out of my hand! Jet-lag lingers!
Thank you, Trinity Church for your interest in us and our mission trip, your prayers, and your love. We are well, safe and having the time of our lives serving the Lord. You would be proud of the 2015 Germany mission team if you were here and saw us in action!
What a day for the children’s team! The day was in full swing, starting with the usual morning rotations of bible lesson, crafts, and games. The afternoon rotations were shorter due to the exciting event of a carnival! There were games, a photo booth, a a table where kids could grab a cookie or two, German type snack chips, and drinks. What a night! The carnival was a success and the kids had a wonderful time. It is such a joy to watch these kids enjoying time together.
Please pray for the next couple days of conference as it comes to a close. It has been such a blessing helping with the conference and hearing great feedback from the attending missionaries.
Thank you again for the many prayers!
